Former patrol boat, which was completely converted into a very comfortable motor yacht in 2006. Brilliant technique, everything renewed!Always liked a Schottelvaartuig? Of course, a patrol boat has a completely different look than a standard motor yacht. Sailing with a Schottel, however, is a profession in its own right and these drives are also vulnerable. If they are broken, the repair costs are very high and there are few mechanics who know about it. The owner of the "Kai" found this annoying when he bought the ship and the original GM engine was also very noisy. In 2005 he therefore decided to replace the entire technical and drive installation with modern and good material. Also the interior had to be renewed and almost the entire panelling was renewed. The hull is welded with so-called Cortén steel. Carbon rich and virtually rust free. The entire ship has been sandblasted and professionally sprayed in a durable epoxy paint system by Bonsink Yachtpainters in Zwartsluis (Underwater hull 2006, Decks and superstructure 2012). Needless to say, this still looks like new...,,The ship has a huge aft deck with outside steering position and below we find a really beautifully installed engine room. Everything is perfectly accessible and the technology lover and connoisseur will be impressed by the way everything has been laid out. There's even a workbench.,,The interior is more than comfortable and spacious. A very nice sitting area, spacious galley, separate shower and separate toilet with washbasin and a large owner's cabin in the foreship.
